recently i learned that crows and ravens have a baffling habit of sneaking up on other animals and pulling on their tails
the behavior seems to be relatively universal among various species of crows and ravens across the world
they seem to do it with anything they can find that has a tail, ranging from something as small and harmless as squirrels to something as large and deadly as eagles
i have absolutely no idea what their motives are, other than to be mischievous and cute
oh my god what a bunch of cuties
That’s actually really interesting. For it to be such a common behavior - particularly one that runs the risk of injury from angering a larger bird - there would have to be some kind of reason for it. But what reason could that be?
Birds have a surprisingly active sense of humour, tbh. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least to find out the answer was “because hilarious” :D
Crows and Ravens are very smart - thus their capacity to be JERKS! And also gives credence to their status as tricksters in some cultures.
